Water Resource Manager/Senior Planner Water Resources

Responsible for program support, development, and implementation of diverse water resource programs including those associated with Lake Whatcom, WRIA 1 Watershed Management Project, Whatcom County Water Resource Plan, groundwater, stormwater, salmon recovery, and shellfish.
Obtained and implemented grants for groundwater, and comprehensive long-term water quality monitoring.
Responsible for contract development and oversight to achieve program needs.
Regular and essential interaction with public, agencies, university, tribes, and elected officials in program development and implementation.
Partnered with agencies and public to create, develop, and deliver information and educational materials for various programs. Outreach mechanisms include presentations, websites, radio, newspaper column, and written publications.
Utilization of computer software to support program needs including GIS, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Water Quality Supervisor

Responsible for the supervision, management, and development of monitoring and testing programs for the City’s potable water, drainage, and wastewater systems.
Responsible for personnel duties including hiring, train, scheduling, and evaluations.
