Experience and Education

Prior to living in Seattle, Gretchen directed an AmeriCorps program providing disaster response and natural resource management assistance for municipalities and non-profit organizations on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She has taught middle school science, led adventure and service projects for students and the general public and remains an active volunteer with a number of environmetal education and stewardship programs. She has a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire and is a concurrent Masters student at UW's Evans School of Public Affairs and the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs.
