Al has extensive background with the financial aspects of Sea Grant and other related marine research and outreach activities, having worked with Washington Sea Grant since 1969. He has a BS and an MS in General Science from Oregon State University, another of the first four Sea Grant Colleges.

  1. Administrator of financial aspects of the Washington Sea Grant
  2. Program Manager of the financial aspects of WSG group events such as workshops, symposiums, camps and other meetings
  3. Member of Society of Research Administrators
  4. WSG representative to Sea Grant Fiscal Officers network
