Experience and Education
Michelle is currently the Washington coordinator for the Pacific Marine Research Plan project, a collaboration between all four west coast Sea Grant programs. Michelle has also been a Marine Field Specialist at WSG, working on seabird bycatch mitigation. Prior to joining WSG in 2004, she worked in the fields of marine mammal and seabird ecology and conservation, focusing much of her effort in South America. She has bachelor of science degrees in Biology and Psychology from University of Oregon and a doctorate in Behavioral Ecology and Evolution from University of California at Santa Cruz.
