NAME Conference 2008 – Auction
The annual NAME auction is one of the highlights of the conference….a chance to have fun, bid on really great items, and raise money for our mini-grant scholarship fund!
Our theme this year is Black and White in honor of the core habitat range of the southern resident killer whales, J,K, and L pods. Our success comes from the talented participants and their organizations. We invite everyone participating to bring something that will “WOW” folks and will help with our fundraising efforts.
Center Pieces Needed: We are also looking for killer whale center pieces that could potentially go in the auction. If you have an idea but might need help making them please let us know. We could have a class adopt a table to help spruce up the Mullis Center that night. You have so much creativity around you, tap into it if you can! We look forward to seeing your creations!
Here are some ideas for great “aquatic” auction items: jewelry; outdoor gear; any and all crafts/artwork; gift certificates for whale watching, fishing trips, bird watching, cabin/hotel/motel accommodations, or guided outdoor trips. If you can offer a service like native plant selection guidance or a cruise on your personal yacht…smile! We are not picky and always love to walk around the tables to see the treasures from all over your region.
For donations or auction info, contact auction coordinator, Alan Rammer per information below. If you wish to donate your items ahead of time and happen to be in the vicinity of Aberdeen/Montesano you may drop them off (or mail them) to Alan at his office:
