NAME Conference 2008 – Scholarships

Limited scholarship awards are available to NAME members and college students for financial assistance to attend the 2008 Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators Conference.

Criteria

The awards are based on financial need and applicability of conference content to the current or future career of the applicant. Applicants must be a NAME member, but not be a NAME Officer, voting member of the Board of Directors, an Institutional or Corporate member and must not have been awarded a scholarship for the last three NAME Annual Conferences.

Selection and Award

All applications for all NAME scholarships and mini-grants are confidential and will be seen only by the NAME Scholarship and Mini-Grant Committee composed of NAME board members. Selection will take place by June 20, 2008, and all applicants will be notified of the results as soon as possible thereafter. Successful applicants will complete the regular conference registration form, indicating in the space provided that they are scholarship recipients and are deducting the scholarship amount from the total due.
