Hot tubs are a wonderful way to get away from it all and relax. Emptying your hot tub into your septic system will provide you with one of the most stressful events in your life. Your septic system was not designed to handle the quantity of water from your hot tub. If you try it, you risk stirring the solids in your tank and pushing them out into the drainfield, causing it to fail. Even if you could keep from disturbing the layers in your septic tank, you would be overloading your system with all of that water at once.    Instead, drain hot tubs well away from the septic tank, components and drainfield, into an area where the water won't damage your landscaping plants or contaminate wetlands.
