Bio
Dr. Heath studied Zoology and Biological Oceanography at the University of British Columbia, where he developed an interest in aquaculture (Ph.D. 1978). Following 10 years in the private sector in shellfish and finfish aquaculture, he has worked for the Province of BC for 17 years as its Shellfish Production Specialist. His principal research interests are shellfish aquaculture interactions with the environment, especially
benthic effects and carrying capacity in coastal waterways.
