Bio
Roger Mann received his B.Sc. in Biology from the University of East Anglia, UK, in 1972, and his Ph.D. in Marine Science from Bangor University, Wales in 1976. He was a postdoctoral fellow and staff scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from 1975 to 1984. He joined the faculty of the School of Marine Science, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, College of William and Mary in 1985. He currently serves as Professor of Marine Science, and Director for Research at Advisory Services at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. His research interests include molluscan ecology, culture and fisheries, larval ecology, and the biology of invasive species.
