SUMMARY:International Congress for Conservation Biology
DESCRIPTION:SWIMM (Social Wellbeing Indicators for Marine Management) is a working group of social science experts convened by Washington Sea Grant and NOAA’s Northwest Fisheries Science Center to develop a protocol for evaluating human wellbeing for marine ecosystem-based management. \nAs part of the culmination of the SWIMM\, a team of scholars including WSG social scientist Melisa Poe and graduate students Sara Breslow\, Maggie Allen\, and Danielle Holstein will present a series of 5 papers from the SWIMM effort in an invited symposium called: Social Science for Conservation in the Anthropocene: New Paths to Socio-Ecological Wellbeing. \n
