DESCRIPTION:Whatcom Water Weeks is a two week-long event that celebrates our local water resources. \nThis is a fun-packed week where businesses\, non-profit organizations\, and community groups celebrate the importance of water\, share information about the state of the resource\, offer stewardship opportunities\, and expand awareness and appreciation of our marine and fresh water resources and the role water plays in our lives. \nEvents include Interpretive Stream Walks\, the Whatcom Country Farm Tour\, a 5k Fun Run with Chums\, a beach clean up\, Taylor shellfish Farm cooking demos\, and lesser-known tours of Bellingham Water Treatment Plant and Cold Storage. \nWhatcom Water Weeks is sponsored by many\, including Washington Sea Grant\, and organized by the Whatcom Watershed Information Network (WWIN). \n
