SUMMARY:12th Annual Vashon-Maury Island Low Tide Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Keepers of Point Robinson and the Vashon Park District\, in cooperation with other conservation-minded sponsors shown on the poster\, announce the 12th annual Low Tide Celebration.  This event\, which is FREE\, this year is on Saturday\, 24 June\, from 10AM to 3PM.  The low tide this year is at 11:40 AM\, and is a – 3.66 from the datum.  What that means is that you will be able to walk out on to the sand flats\, and see creatures that can only be seen when the tide is at its lowest state. \nVashon Beach Naturalists will help explore the tide flats\, Captain Joe will be giving tours of the lighthouse\, and each child is entitled to track in 5 pounds of sand into the lighthouse.  There will be many special children’s activities\, and booths by sponsors with educational and enjoyable exhibits. \nThe complimentary shuttle bus will be available again this year\, to take you from wherever you leave your car on Point Robinson Road to the Station lower parking lot. \n
