SUMMARY:Crab Team Returning Volunteer Training (Port Townsend)
DESCRIPTION:This event is free\, but registration is required.  \nA refresher and continuing education opportunity for returning Crab Team volunteers. The workshop will include: \n\nProtocol updates\nTips on efficient sampling\nIn-depth time on species ID\n\nMore information: This workshop is intended only for volunteers who have monitored with Crab Team in prior years. Potential new volunteers should attend a full-day training workshop\, either in Padilla Bay\, or Poulsbo. This curriculum will go into greater depth on efficient sampling\, and critter ID\, and is a great way to kick off another successful sampling season! \nWe will have light snacks available\, and you are welcome to bring a lunch to munch on during the introductory portion of the workshop. Depending on weather\, part of the training workshop might be conducted outside. Please come ready to spend up to an hour outside\, including warm clothing and sturdy shoes. \nContact the Crab Team at crabteam@uw.edu if you have any questions.
