SUMMARY:Marine Wiring and Diesel Engine Workshops in Port Townsend
DESCRIPTION:A chance for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters to learn to safely wire their boats or troubleshoot their diesel engines.  \nWashington Sea Grant\, The Port of Port Townsend and WSU Jefferson County Extension are co-sponsoring two workshops in Port Townsend that will cover essential skills for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters: marine wiring and diesel engine troubleshooting. \nThe Diesel Engine Troubleshooting workshop will cover troubleshooting and the maintenance of various systems within marine diesel engines\, including fuel\, lubrication\, electrical\, cooling and exhaust. \nThe Marine Wiring workshop is for boat owners who want to upgrade their vessels’ electrical systems. DESCRIPTION:Join Seattle Audubon for a morning birding excursion! Winter is the best time of the year to observe seabirds on the Puget Sound\, and we will spend much of our winter walks on the beach observing birds on the Sound and around the mouth of Pipers Creek\, which often attracts large groups of gulls and waterfowl. We may also walk some of the forest paths. Participants should be ready for potentially cold\, wet\, and/or windy conditions. Then\, we’ll return to our cars\, grab our spotting scopes\, and walk the short distance to the beach for some seabird watching overlooking the Puget Sound.
