SUMMARY:Monday Meander
DESCRIPTION:Join Wild Whatcom for a meander through Lake Padden Park! Ready to search for spring? Maybe we’ll smell it in a cascade of tiny flowers of an Indian plum shrub or spot it in coppery lightning bolts of salmonberry branches. If you’re curious about our local flora and fauna and would like to taste a licorice fern\, this outing is for you. Come dressed for the weather and prepared for a meandering pace\, and bring your adventurous spirit.  We will make time for sketching\, so bring a notebook to draw the beautiful botany around us.  We’ll start locally in a nearby park and think regionally about what makes our home so special. \n  \nWhen: Monday\, February 24\, 2020 at 9:30–11:30am \nWhere: Lake Padden Park \n4882 S Samish Way \nBellingham\, WA 98229 \n
