SUMMARY:Coastal Café
DESCRIPTION:Tune in to KPTZ 91.9 to join host Aaron Barnett and guest Ed Melvin\, a marine fisheries scientist with the Washington Sea Grant as they discuss saving seabirds and fishermen headaches. This is a seabird bycatch program responsible for saving about 150\,000 albatrosses and other seabirds over the 14 years since Melvin’s “streamer lines” were adopted in the commercial fishing industry. This is a joint production of Washington Sea Grant at the College of the Environment\, University of Washington and KPTZ 91.9 FM. Coastal Café explores the latest in marine science with researchers\, policy experts and the people who live and work along our coast. To hear other segments\, check out the Coastal Café podcast! \n
