DESCRIPTION:Learn to read the weather before you head out on the water. \nWashington Sea Grant and the Gig Harbor BoatShop are co-sponsoring a Marine Weather Workshop in Gig Harbor. \nTopics to be covered include: \n\nAtmospheric Pressure and Wind\nCoastal Winds\nDaily Briefing\nFog\nGetting Current Weather\nGlobal Winds\nStrong Wind Systems\nWaves\nWeather Charts\nWeather Models\n\nThe class will include a hands-on opportunity to develop an individualized daily weather briefing for paddle\, sail and power boats. Students may work individually or in small groups.
