SUMMARY:Boat Patrol
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer patrols form a central part of Puget Soundkeeper’s effort to monitor pollution and prevent debris from reaching our waterways. While on patrol\, we keep an eye out for abnormal discharges\, oil slicks\, and other emergent pollution. We also check for the application of best management practices by shoreline businesses. Along the way\, volunteers will learn about the history of Seattle’s development and have the opportunity to view our waterways from a unique perspective. Volunteers will ride as passengers in the Soundkeeper boat and help observe shorelines and waterways. Volunteers may help report pollution to an appropriate agency when necessary and assist in removing marine debris from the water. \nLearn more here. \n  \nFriday\, February 14\, 10:00am — 12:30pm \nSpace is limited and filled on a first come\, first serve basis. Call 206-297-7002 or email Kristin (kristin@pugetsoundkeeper.org) to reserve your spot(s). \n  \nElliott Bay Marina  \n2601 West Marina Pl  \nSeattle\, WA 98199 \n
