SUMMARY:Stilly\, Skagit\, and Samish Birding Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join the Seattle Audubon Society in spotting raptors\, waterfowl\, and shorebirds in the Stillaguamish\, Skagit\, and Samish flats. We’ll bird Norman Rd. and Boe Rd. en route to The Nature Conservancy’s tidal restoration site in the Stilly Delta\, go on to Thomle Road and to transition into the Skagit Flats. Depending on recent sightings and time\, on Fir Island we may visit Wiley Slough and Hayton Slough WDFW game access points. We’ll then continue on to Padilla Bay\, and the fabled West 90 on the Samish Flats\, finishing up in the Bow-Edison area. \n  \nWednesday\, January 29\, 2020\, 7:00am – 5:30pm \nCarpool costs of $50 per car (max.) are shared by riders. Driver will need a Discover Pass. \nLimit: 7 participants in 2 cars. SUMMARY:Lake Union Kayak Patrol
DESCRIPTION:Puget Soundkeeper needs your help each week as we paddle through Lake Union and remove trash from the water while keeping an eye out for other pollution violations. Volunteers will be in double kayaks outfitted with trash bags\, grabbers\, and nets for scooping debris from the water. The team will paddle to a designated area of the lake and collect any visible trash to properly dispose of back on land. Check out our video to gain a sense of what our kayak patrol is all about! \n  \nWednesday\, January 29\, 2020\, 10:00am – 12:00pm \nSpace is limited and filled on a first come\, first served basis.
