SUMMARY:2020 International Coast Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:The International Coastal Cleanup began more than 30 years ago\, when communities rallied together with the common goal of collecting and documenting the trash littering their coastline. Volunteers from states and territories throughout the U.S. and more than 100 countries come together each year and participate in a Cleanup event near them. \nThe 2020 International Coastal Cleanup\, organized by the Ocean Conservancy\, will be happen on Saturday\, September 19th. \nCheck the event webpage to learn more and find a volunteer opportunity near you! \n

SUMMARY:Celebrate on the Lake
DESCRIPTION:In lieu of the Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival\, The Center for Wooden Boats is hosting a series of socially distant events called Celebrate on the Lake: Honoring Wooden Boats and Our History. \nGroup gatherings after the events will not be hosted\, but they plan to livestream all on-the-water activities for those who cannot participate. \nCelebrate on the Lake events include:\n• 9/19 & 9/20 – Youth and Adult El Toro Races\n• 9/26 – Sailpast Memorial for Colleen Wagner\n• 9/27 – Human Powered Races / Quick & Daring: Home Edition \nCommunity members with access to their own boats are encouraged to participate\, but there will be limited access and availability to the CWB fleet.
