SUMMARY:Public Meeting: Expanding Pumpout Washington into San Juan Islands
DESCRIPTION:Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission’s Clean Vessel Program is considering expanding the service called Pumpout Washington to reach recreational boaters in the San Juan Islands. \nPumpout Washington has scheduled two public meetings\, the first on Orcas Island\,  where San Juan Island residents and boaters who visit the islands are invited to share their suggestions about the best sites to deploy mobile pumpout boats. Popular anchorage locations with less-than-ideal tidal flushing conditions will receive top priority\, and citizen input will be used to help narrow the choices for consideration. \nState Parks is supported in the effort by Washington Sea Grant and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. \n
