DESCRIPTION:WSG is sponsoring and will host a booth at the 9th World Fisheries Congress\, hosted in Seattle for the first time this year. \nOrganized through the World Council of Fisheries Societies\, every four years delegates from around the world meet to exchange ideas and perspectives about new research\, emerging issues\, scientific breakthroughs\, and governance related to fisheries science\, industry\, conservation\, and management. \nJoin us in 2024 as we explore the congress theme of Fish and Fisheries at the Food-Water-Energy Nexus. DESCRIPTION:This event is the second training in Crab Team’s New Monitors series of 3 required training sessions for monitors. This session is live & virtual (on Zoom) and will be an introduction to species identification. This training is intended for our new monitors supporting Crab Team monitoring sites \nCrab Team’s annual training series for new monitors is in 3 parts: 2 live\, virtual sessions (Zoom) + 1 in-person session.  \nThis year we are recruiting a limited number of new monitors to add to existing teams in their network of sites monitoring for the invasive European green crab. \nSign me up!\nIf you are interested in getting involved\, please fill out our\n2024 New Monitor Interest Form.
