SUMMARY:Crab Team Monitor Training: Bremerton (Kitsap County)
DESCRIPTION:Crab Team network participants monitor for invasive European green crab and expand our knowledge of salt marshes and pocket estuaries. \nInterested in joining Crab Team for the 2026 monitoring season? \nRead our new monitor FAQ and fill out the 2026 New Monitor Interest Form to be considered for an opening at a site near you. \nIf your info is a match\, you will receive an invitation to join the required 3-part training series: 2 virtual (Zoom) lunchhour sessions\, plus one in-person (including this location/date and 5 others across the region). \nTraining details and locations are shared with new monitors who have been successfully matched to a site need for the 2026 season. \nWhat to expect: \nNew monitor training is 4 hours long\, covering hands on demonstrations and presentations on each protocol used during monthly monitoring\, as well as critter identification practice. There will be an additional continuing education-style refresher training offered same day\, at this same location for returning monitors. \nNeed to know timing of your session or have questions? Email Crab Team at crabteam@uw.edu \n
