Kids’ Day at OysterFest

OysterFest
Oysters, wines, microbrews, live music and so much more come together for two days every year. Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club Foundation and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official seafood festival. The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu. Kids’ Day at OysterFest
WSG's Marine Water Quality Specialist, Teri King, organizes and leads a full day with area 4th grade-children, teaching the students tools for daily living to improve water quality, protect the environment and practice personal safety. This event is part of the annual Oysterfest event.
