2015 Elwha Research Consortium

The Elwha Research Consortium (ERC) has announced its the 3rd Elwha River Science Symposium. This meeting will be held on November 18 – 20, 2015 on the Campus of NatureBridge Olympic National Park, near Lake Crescent. This will be the first symposium following full dam removal of both Elwha River dams. The theme of this year’s symposium will focus upon the scientific lessons we have learned about physical processes and ecosystem responses to dam removal.

As with the past two Elwha River Science Symposia, there will be a venue for scientists to gather and share their research results describing the outcomes of dam removal and their plans for future research and monitoring. In order to accommodate the wide variety of multidisciplinary research activities operating on the Elwha, the symposium will be organized into themed sessions.
