Ocean Learning

Washington Sea Grant helps learners of all ages understand how the ocean affects them and how they affect the ocean. By partnering with K-12 educators and marine-related organizations, WSG reaches a greater number of people and thereby expands awareness of the environment, enhances enjoyment of marine and coastal resources, and empowers environmental action and information sharing.

WSG offers one of the most robust marine science fellowship programs in the nation, providing graduate, undergraduate, and postdoctoral students with real-world experience in marine science, policy, and resource management.

K-12 programs include a summer camp for middle and high school students and a popular statewide ocean sciences bowl, introducing youth to the latest in marine research science.
