Learn to Winterize Your Outboard Motor
Small outboards can be a critical component of safety gear—but neglecting them can result in a variety of expenses. The Northwest Maritime Center and Washington Sea Grant are co-sponsoring a one-day workshop on winterizing outboards on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 in Port Townsend, WA.
Topics covered include the basics of simple and routine small outboard motor maintenance and winterizing, including: fuel, lubrication, electrical inspection, changing the oil and diagnosing common problems, focusing on two and four stroke gas engines with 15HP or less.
A small engine will be available as a training aid during the workshop. This is a hands-on workshop, so plan on getting dirty!
When: Saturday, November 11
12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Northwest Maritime Center’s boatshop
431 Water Street
Port Townsend, WA
Fee: $40 ($36 for Northwest Maritime Center members)
