Community-Driven Climate Resilience Projects Along the Lower Columbia River

Presented by Jackson Blalock, Marine & Estuarine Resilience Program Manager at Pacific Conservation District and Catherine Corbett, Chief Scientist at Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership

From 2021-24, workshops and related discussions identified local priorities, issues, and ideas for resilience to changing water levels along Baker Bay and Grays Bay. Catherine Corbett (Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership) and Jackson Blalock (Pacific Conservation District) will share the origins, methods, and outcomes of this work which advanced projects that address current and future issues related to sea level rise. CHRN Lunch & Learn events are opportunities for practitioners in the coastal resilience space to share a bit about their work, connect with other CHRN members, receive input from the group, and develop collaborative partnerships. During this one-hour event, Jackson Blalock and Catherine Corbett will have a mix of presented materials and time for discussion and active audience engagement.
