Cocktails & Fishtales

Cocktails & Fishtales is Harbor WildWatch’s science-social series for ages 21+. Cocktails & Fishtales is an opportunity to enjoy an evening out in Gig Harbor, engaging with like-minded eco-enthusiasts in a lively and social learning experience. Held monthly, each program features a scientist, researcher, or environmental artist on an ecological topic. Events are free for Steward Club Members; suggested donation of $5 per guest.

Doors open at 5:30pm; presentation is from 6-7pm.

Troy Alstead, CEO and Founder of Ocean5, will present on how geothermal energy is utilized locally at Ocean5. Geothermal energy is heat derived from the earth’s surface, which can be used for heating/cooling purposes or harnessed to generate clean electricity.
