CANCELED: Crab Team New Volunteer Training – Port Orchard
March 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pmFree
**Update: It is with an abundance of caution that the Washington Sea Grant Director has made the decision to cancel this training workshop. We do not want to risk anyone’s health and wellness given the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in our state. As members of our broader Washington Sea Grant and UW community, current information regarding the University’s communications and protocols can be found at uw.edu/coronavirus. It is our goal to reschedule the workshop when we are able. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

More information: This year, Crab Team is recruiting a limited number of new volunteers to add to existing sites/teams, so we cannot guarantee that all new participants will be matched with a team. If you would like more information on where opportunities are available, please email email@example.com. In addition, we welcome attendees who are just interested in finding out what community science is all about, you are under no obligation to join a team. We encourage you to contact us or read the Get Involved section of our website to find out what our volunteers do.
Logistics: We will have light refreshments and a short break for lunch, but we recommend bringing a bagged lunch. Depending on weather, part of the training workshop might be conducted outside. Please come ready to spend up to an hour outside, including warm clothing.
