Dams, Dirts and Creatures of the Deep: Elwha Restoration and the Nearshore

Join the Feiro Marine Life Center Tuesday November 21 for the Elwa River Restoration Speakers Series. Ian Miller, Ph.D. will present “Dams, Dirts and Creatures of the Deep:  Elwha Restoration and the Nearshore.” Dr. Miller has been researching the changes in the nearshore environment of the Elwha River before and after the dam removal project. He will update on the changes they are seeing in the nearshore environment.

As the Coastal Hazards Specialist for Washington Sea Grant, Ian spends his time on research, education and outreach on topics like chronic erosion, climate change, tsunami and other coastal hazards. He is also on the Board of the Feiro Marine Life Center.
