Explore Your Local Beach: Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal

Join local naturalists out on the beach to observe the unique creatures that call the intertidal zone home. You’ll learn about invertebrates, tides, shoreline geology, birds, and how to identify these things on the beach.
These 60-90 minute low tide beach explorations are suitable for all ages. Boots or close-toed shoes are recommended.

Access the beach by parking in downtown Winslow, walking through Waterfront Park to Waterfront Trail, which passes a condo complex.
