Learn to Read the Northwest’s Marine Weather

This marine weather workshop, co-sponsored by Washington Sea Grant and the Port of Seattle Fishermen’s Terminal, will include topics such as storm structure, wave development and growth, the relationship between atmospheric pressure and wind, key features of low-pressure systems, how to determine a squall’s path and speed, strong offshore wind systems in the Northwest and how to avoid them, and how wind patterns can help you find “weather windows” for safe passage.

The workshop is designed for boaters, fishermen, kayakers, and anyone else on the water.
