Sea Safety and Survival Workshop

Learn emergency drills for commercial fishing vessels

Washington Sea Grant, Jefferson County Extension and the Northwest Maritime Center are co-sponsoring a one-day Coast Guard-Approved Sea Safety and Survival (Drill Instructor) Workshop for commercial fishermen. The workshop combines lectures and hands-on experience with the safety and survival equipment that is required for fishing vessels. Participants will learn emergency procedures and be trained to develop appropriate emergency drills for their own vessels.

When:             Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Where:           Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water St., Port Townsend, WA

Fee:                 $50 for active commercial fishermen, $100 for other boaters
