Setting The Table: Living Sustainably

June 19, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Setting The Table is a monthly gathering to learn, converse, and break bread around an important issue — presented by The Evergrey, Makers Workspaces, and Voyager’s Table. This month’s discussion topic is Living Sustainably.

In a time where it can feel overwhelming to feel ownership and accountability of our environmental crisis, we ask how can we live more sustainably in our lives, both as individuals and as a community. How can one shift their lifestyle and perspective to not only change their day-to-day impact on the environment, but also help drive the change of our city, especially with marginalized communities.

Led by moderator Monica Guzman from The Evergrey, local thought leaders will begin the conversation by answering your questions. Discussion leaders for this month’s topic are:

Genevieve Livingston – Founder/Owner, Eco Collective
Mericos Rhodes – Farmer/Owner, Spoon Full Farm
Sara Cubillos – Strategic Advisor, Seattle Public Utilities

As for the food: Chef Justin Khanna from Voyager’s Table — a local creative who has spent over eight years in Michelin starred restaurants — will dish up a personal tasting menu with a family-style dining twist. This month, all the food will be provided by Spoon Full Farm.
