Talk: Tipping points and transformations in coupled human-ocean systems

The University of Washington IGERT Program on Ocean Change welcomes Dr. Anne Salomon, Associate Professor and Hakai Professor, School of Resource & Environmental Management, Simon Fraser University. Dr. Salomon will be giving a talk on her work titled “Tipping points and transformations in coupled human-ocean systems.” Using three case studies, she will discuss key characteristics of coupled human–ocean systems, factors that confer their resilience and pathways that ease transformations when abrupt change occurs.

The event will be in the School of Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences auditorium, Room 102.
