The Art of Science: Art Workshop & Marine Debris Presentation

Participants can join one or both portions of this exciting event, brought to you by Washington Sea Grant, WSU Kitsap Extension, Cranes Castle Brewing, COASST, Harbor WildWatch, Augies BBQ, and Kitsap County:

- Art Workshop: 5:00 – 6:30pm – $20 per person– Join local artist Jacquelyn Speare as she guides us through an observational drawing workshop. Create your own drawings of seashells found on the beaches of the Puget Sound while learning about the cool critters that inhabited them with staff from Washington Sea Grant and Harbor WildWatch. Participants will learn basic drawing techniques and add watercolor to their work to take home.
- COASST Presentation: 7:00- 8:00pm – FREE (no registration required— participation is first-come, first-served); Following the art workshop, members of the University of Washingtons COASST team will share current research on marine debris and provide ways to plug-in and make a difference.
