Whatcom Water Week
September 16 - September 23
Whatcom Water Week is a week-long event that celebrates our local water resources. Businesses, non-profit organizations and community groups celebrate the importance of water, share information about the state of the resource, offer stewardship opportunities, and expand awareness and appreciation of our marine and fresh water resources and the role water plays in our lives. This year’s events include: Baker to Bay Symposium, Streams of Thought Film Festival, Run with the Chums 5k fun run/walk, salmon sighting and international coastla cleanup. Whatcom Water Week is organized by the Whatcom Watershed Information Network (WWIN). WWIN is a network of representatives from government agencies, businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, tribes, and citizens who are involved and interested in marine and fresh water ecosystems and natural resources education and outreach. Our Mission is to support and improve watershed education, stewardship, information exchange and public involvement efforts in Whatcom County.
