There are a few still spots available for a FREE Salmon Docent training on Friday, October 7, from 10am-3pm at the Clear Creek Sa’qad Interpretive Center! Learn about the salmon life cycle, habitat needs, and the species most commonly found in Kitsap streams. Volunteer work will be happening on land and on the water! And as a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to do both! Terminal 107 or T-107 Park, managed by the Port of Seattle, is an important historical site. Barry Berejikian is the Program Manager for the Hatchery Reform Science Program and Manager of the Manchester Research Station at NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center. His program conducts research on marine ecology of steelhead trout, hatchery and captive broodstock rearing, domestication mechanisms, salmonid reproductive ecology and aquaculture development.
