Wildlife Fire Preparedness Seminars
A series of Wildland Fire Preparedness Seminars designed to raise public awareness of beach fire hazards are being offered in North Kitsap in partnership with the Poulsbo Fire Department, North Kitsap Fire & Rescue, Poulsbo Historical Society and the Suquamish Tribe. The seminars include information on assessing homes and property for wildfire resistance and identifying neighborhood and beach safety strategies. This is a great opportunity to get in involved in citizen science and learn first hand about shoreline restoration efforts in the Puget Sound. Volunteers are needed to collect data that monitors shoreline restoration progress on the Powel Property on north Bainbridge Island.
