Dungeness crab season opens

Winter season opens on October 15th for Dungeness and Red Rock Crab (all fishing methods) and remains open seven days a week through December 31st. How health is defined and assessed is a priority concern for indigenous peoples due to considerable risks faced from impacts to homelands, and because what is “at risk” is often determined without their input or approval. Terminal 107 or T-107 Park, managed by the Port of Seattle, is an important historical site. Barry Berejikian is the Program Manager for the Hatchery Reform Science Program and Manager of the Manchester Research Station at NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center.  His program conducts research on marine ecology of steelhead trout, hatchery and captive broodstock rearing, domestication mechanisms, salmonid reproductive ecology and aquaculture development.
