2024 Salish Sea Stewards Training Program registration due

The Salish Sea Stewards is a volunteer program of the Skagit County Marine Resources Commission in partnership with Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The program offers approximately 40 hours of training to residents who are interested in learning about the marine environment and different volunteer opportunities with local organizations. Registration is due January 31; trainings take place every Tuesday from February 6 to April 30. Learn more and register here.

Sea Safety and Survival (Drill Instructor) Training in Bellingham

Washington Sea Grant and the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) are cosponsoring a Sea Safety and Survival Course (Drill Instructor) for commercial fishermen. This Coast Guard-approved workshop meets the training requirements of the Commercial Fishing Safety Act to conduct drills.
