Sea Safety and Survival (Drill Instructor) Training in Bellingham
Washington Sea Grant and the Port of Bellingham are cosponsoring a Sea Safety and Survival Course (Drill Instructor) for commercial fishermen. This Coast Guard-approved workshop meets the training requirements of the Commercial Fishing Safety Act to conduct drills. Coursework combines lecture and hands-on experience with the safety and survival equipment now required for commercial fishing vessels. Molt Search Volunteer Training (Kitsap County)
Washington Sea Grant and Washington State University Extension have teamed up to launch a new volunteer-based early detection program to complement the existing Crab Team monitoring network. This event includes a 2-hour workshop where you will learn how to identify crab molts, where and how to conduct a 20-minute Molt Search survey, how report your findings using the MyCoast mobile app, and optionally how to collect additional data on Dungeness crab molts.
