COASST Marine Debris Training
Help make a difference for the environment by collecting data for the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST). The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding has developed non-credit continuing education courses in marine systems for individuals already in the industry. The courses will rely on industry-relevant mock-ups to provide hands-on practical training taught by experienced professionals. Puget Sound Shoreline Management Planning Workshop
The Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative invites you to attend the Shoreline Management Planning Workshop on August 2 in Bremerton, WA. Over the next two years, shoreline jurisdictions in the Puget Sound region will update their Shoreline Master Programs, creating an opportunity to strengthen local level responses to sea level rise. Middle school-aged scientists get to explore Liberty Bay through field investigations! Get your hands wet and dirty learning about life under the surface of Liberty Bay and on its shore to better understand its ecology. In addition to exploring the Aquarium and Floating Field Lab on the Bay, we will be taking a low tide beach excursion, so prepare for excitement, and some walking. Registration required, $150/person.
