Coast Guard-Approved First Aid at Sea Workshop

 Effectively treat hypothermia, near drowning and other incidents while on the water.

Monday, April 30 in Gig Harbor, Washington.

 

Washington Sea Grant and the Gig Harbor BoatShop at Eddon Boatyard are co-sponsoring a Coast Guard Approved First Aid at Sea workshop in Gig Harbor.

Topics covered include:

  • CPR
  • Patient assessment
  • Hypothermia and cold water response
  • Near drowning
  • Shock and trauma
  • Burns and fractures
  • Choking and patient immobilization
  • First Aid kits.

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Gig Harbor BoatShop at Eddon Boatyard

Gig Harbor, WA

 

Fee: $100 ($50 for active commercial fishermen)
