Molt Search Volunteer Training (San Juan County)
Washington Sea Grant and Washington State University Extension have teamed up to launch a new volunteer-based early detection program to complement the existing Crab Team monitoring network. This event includes an hour and a half long workshop where you will learn how to identify crab molts, where and how to conduct a 20-minute Molt Search survey, how report your findings using the MyCoast mobile app, and optionally how to collect additional data on Dungeness crab molts.
