Coast Guard-Approved First Aid at Sea Workshop for Commercial Fishermen and Recreational Boaters

Effectively treat hypothermia, near drowning and more while on the water.

Washington Sea Grant, Washington State University Jefferson County Extension and the Northwest Maritime Center are cosponsoring a Coast Guard-Approved First Aid at Sea course in Port Townsend.

Topics covered include:

  • Patient assessment
  • Hypothermia and cold water response
  • Near drowning
  • Shock and trauma
  • Burns and fractures
  • Choking and patient immobilization
  • First Aid kits and more.
