Susan joins the Washington Sea Grant team with extensive experience in research administration within the maritime sector, having supported research projects and grants for federal agencies including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Naval Research Laboratory. Susan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, and has earned certificates in research administration leadership, program management, Maritime Uncrewed Systems Operations, and maritime data analytics. In her new role, Susan will manage and oversee the financial aspects of grants and contracts, while also developing policies and procedures to enhance operations. Susan enjoys being near the ocean and hiking with her dog.
