Crab Team Public Presentation

A European green crab was recently captured in Westcott Bay, on San Juan Island, by WSG Crab Team volunteers in the course of their regular monthly monitoring. This marks the first confirmed sighting of this globally-invasive species along Washington’s inland shorelines (read more here).

Crab Team will be holding a public presentation to provide an opportunity to learn about the sighting, the early detection monitoring program, and how to participate in the protection of local shorelines.
