Digging for Dinner Quilcene

May 13, 2017 @ 10:45 am - 1:00 pm

Join the Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee (MRC) and WA Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) on Sat. May 13 at Quilcene Bay WDFW Tidelands for a day on the beach to learn about harvesting steamer clams. Bring the family!

WDFW staff will share information about different types of clams, where to find them, how to harvest safely and sustainably, how to prepare & cook clams, and basic rules and regulations that assure delicious clams this summer and into the future. Then we’ll go out on the beach and you can dig for your dinner with guidance from the experts.

This public event is free. A $10 donation per family will help support future marine education programs. Register here!
